Job summary

SSEN Transmission is seeking a safety-focused professional to provide proactive occupational health and safety guidance across its onshore projects in Scotland. You will work with project teams, ensuring compliance with UK health and safety legislation and CDM requirements while promoting a safe, healthy working environment.

The role is a 10‑month fixed-term contract based in Scotland, with a requirement to spend 50% of the week in the office at Perth or Glasgow.

Qualifications

• Graduate safety qualification with proven safety/risk management experience.
• IOSH membership preferred.
• Strong stakeholder management across cross-business teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive health, safety and SHW guidance to stakeholders.
• Advise on CDM and Safe Systems of Work for projects.
• Support incident reporting, risk assessment and continuous safety improvements.
• Develop relationships and promote SSEN Transmission safety culture.
