Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform testing to protocol or procedure while adhering to good laboratory practice.
• Develop protocols to accomplish goals.
• Produce prototype product or communicate prototype requirements to support experiments.
• Utilise analytical instruments and train others in their operation.
• Participate in experimental design discussions and identify variables that may impact results.
• Analyse data, evaluate results and form conclusions.
• Prepare effective summaries of results and communicate to the wider team.
• Compile and maintain records as required by good laboratory practice.
• Write clear, technically correct reports with feedback from colleagues.
• Liaise with other departments and present technical information to team meetings.
• Ensure compliance with change control procedures and health & safety requirements.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Perform testing to protocol or procedure whilst adhering to good laboratory practice
• Develop protocols to accomplish goals
• Produce prototype product or communicate protoype requirements to support experiments.
• Utilise analytical instruments and train others in their operation
• Participate in experimental design discussions, identify variables that may impact experimental results
• Analyse data, evaluate results and form conclusions

• Responsible for own laboratory notebook and for the accuracy, quality and timeliness of experimental results
• Ensures that all work complies with the quality system
• Uses scientific and industry literature to broaden technical and theoretical understanding
• Highlights improvement opportunities to manager

Basic Qualifications

• Good written and oral communication skills
• Good working knowledge of software packages such as Word, Excel and Powerpoint to analyse data, present results and write reports
• Experience of working in a laboratory, scientific or technical environment
