Abbott in the United Kingdom (Dundee) is seeking Scientists to join our Technical Services team to support a broad range of laboratory, assay development, testing, and scientific investigation activities. The role is suitable for candidates across varying levels of experience.

You will perform testing and analyses following GLP and approved protocols, operate instrumentation, and contribute to product development through data-driven investigations and technical reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a scientific, engineering, life sciences, or related technical discipline.
• Strong scientific and technical knowledge with the ability to execute laboratory experiments and analyse data.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Perform testing, assays, and laboratory activities according to approved protocols and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards.
• Conduct routine and innovative experiments to support product development and technical investigations.
• Operate and maintain analytical and laboratory instrumentation.
• Compile, maintain, and review laboratory records, reports, notebooks, and quality documentation.
• Analyse data, interpret results, and generate scientifically sound conclusions.
• Prepare technical summaries, reports, protocols, and presentations for internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project and departmental objectives.
• Support compliance activities including CAPA, Change Control, and document management.

This position may be filled at Scientist I, Scientist II, or Scientist III level, depending on qualifications and experience.
