Job summary

UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) Cambridge is recruiting for a Computing Systems Specialist to maintain and advance the Institute's scientific computing facilities, including the HPC cluster and petabyte-scale storage. You will diagnose issues, plan installations, and lead projects improving deep learning pipelines at scale.

Qualifications

• Essential: Degree in Computing, Science or equivalent subject.
• Desirable: MSc/MA/PhD or other formal computing qualifications.
• Experience of server administration and/or system development.
• Experience of supporting Linux/Unix systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day Scientific Computing services and compute cluster.
• Lead discrete infrastructure projects and report milestones to Head of Scientific Computing.
• Develop and maintain hardware/software solutions for deep learning on large datasets.
