Job summary

Cambridge Education Group is seeking a Tutor of Science to join our UK North Preston centre on a sessional basis from September. You will plan, prepare and deliver high quality science teaching to international students whose first language is not English, supporting progression to partner institutions.

Responsibilities include monitoring progress, providing feedback, setting and marking assessments, contributing to programme materials, and continuing CPD to embed English, Maths and transferable

Qualifications

• Educated to degree or equivalent qualification level in relevant subject area (essential).
• Demonstrates competency in English language to IELTS 8.0 or equivalent (essential).
• Master’s degree or equivalent in relevant subject area (desirable).
• Teaching Qualification (desirable).
• Relevant in-person or face to face teaching experience in relevant subject area (essential).
• Strong IT skills, particularly the use of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook (essential).
• Demonstrates cross-cultural awareness and understanding (essential).
• Commitment to ongoing reflection and continuous improvement of teaching practice (essential).
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills (essential).
• The ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and work under pressure (essential).

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver high quality teaching meeting needs of international students.
• Monitor progress and provide regular feedback, formative and summative.
• Report to stakeholders on students as needed.
• Set and mark work and assessments per policies.
• Contribute to development, evaluation and improvement of programmes/materials.
• Pursue CPD and share effective teaching practices.
• Embed English, Maths and transferable skills in lessons.
