Job summary

Gilbert Inglefield Academy is seeking a committed Science Technician to provide technical and practical support to the Science Department, ensuring smooth delivery of lessons and workshops.

The role is permanent, part-time (20 hours per week, term time only plus 5 training days). Training and induction will be provided; enhanced DBS checks and references required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and practical support to the Science Department to ensure smooth delivery of lessons.

Location: Gilbert Inglefield Academy

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours of work: Part Time, 20 hours per week, Term Time only + 5 training days (39 weeks)

Salary: NJC L2 pts 4-5 £11781 - £11967 per annum

Closing date: 9am on Monday 31st August 2026

Start date: September 2026

We are seeking to appoint a committed Science Technician to provide technical and practical support to the Science Department at Gilbert Inglefield Middle School, ensuring the smooth delivery of lessons and workshops.

Full training, support and induction will be provided.

We will conduct an enhanced DBS check and require satisfactory references.
