Job summary

The Whitby High School is seeking a Grade 5 Science Technician to join our Science Department on a full-time basis. The post carries 35 hours per week over 39 weeks per year, with a pro rata salary from £21,216 to £23,480 and a full-time equivalent of £25,989 to £28,142.

The successful candidate will support teaching staff by preparing equipment, apparatus and chemicals, enabling students to carry out laboratory experiments, projects and examination work.

We are seeking someone to provide a practical, daily technician service to members of the teaching staff in the Science Department through the preparation and provision of equipment, apparatus and chemicals to enable students to carry out laboratory experiments, projects and examination work.
