We are working alongside a secondary school in the West Leeds area who are looking to appoint a Science Technician to join their school.

This is a GOOD rated school located close to the Leeds/Bradford border, where "the principal leads the school with passion and determination."

The school are looking for somebody with experience working in a laboratory, and could be the perfect opportunity for a recent Science graduate to gain some work experience. This opportunity would also be ideal for an experienced Science Teacher who is looking to take a step back in responsibility.

The role involves:

  • Maintaining equipment and supplies in the Science department.
  • Assisting the Teaching staff in the department with practical experiments in lessons.
  • Helping Science teachers to support students in their learning.
  • Ensuring that all students and staff adhere to health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • A degree in a Science related subject.
  • Two satisfactory references.
  • A valid DBS certificate, or be willing to obtain one.
