Gillingham School is seeking a Science Technician to join a small team supporting teachers in the Science department. The role involves preparing teaching materials, setting up demonstrations, and maintaining our well-stocked preparation rooms.
Labouratory experience and enthusiasm for science are desirable, with excellent planning and communication skills essential. The position is 37.5 hours per week, term time only, with some flexibility in working hours for the right candidate.
The successful candidate will work as part of a small team of Technicians to support teachers in the Science department with the preparation of teaching materials and setting up demonstration experiments to enhance student learning. Prior experience in laboratory work is desirable and an interest in science and an eagerness to learn are key. Excellent planning, organisation and time management skills are required in order to carry out the key responsibilities of this role which include:
