About Highfield Leadership Academy

Highfield Leadership Academy is a state-of-the-art secondary school for 11 to 16-year-olds in Blackpool. We joined Star Academies in 2016 and, like all Star schools, we have a leadership specialism.

We’re seeking a dedicated individual to provide tailored support to our pupils. You will be committed to making a positive difference in young people’s lives and supporting their learning. Your intervention will help create an outstanding learning environment, providing the support they need to succeed.

The successful candidate will be a committed team player with excellent organisational and technical skills. You will have the ability to support learning and teaching effectively and to develop relationships across our school and the Star community.

You will have:

• A Levels or NVQ3 in Laboratory and Associated Technical Activities (LATA), NVQ3 for Laboratory Technicians in Education, Level 3 Certificate in Laboratory Technical Skills, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation relevant to the school environment.
• Knowledge of COSHH and ESCC regulations concerning the safe handling and storage of chemicals.
• Proficiency in ICT skills to research, present, and communicate effectively.
• The ability to offer professional guidance and assistance to students and teachers on practical aspects of the curriculum.
