Job summary

LVS Ascot is seeking a Science Technician to support a busy Science Department in a high-performing school. This is a full-time role, with potential for part-time consideration for the right candidate, and hours are Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 16:30 during term-time.

You will maintain the department, ensure safety and readiness for teaching, and proactively identify issues while adapting to shifting priorities. A collaborative team environment and excellent facilities are on offer.

• Proactively identify issues and take initiative without waiting for requests.
• Adapt to changing department priorities and fully support the teachers in the department.
• Be prepared to develop new skills and working methods to respond to changing needs.

We are looking for a Science Technician who will be able to fully support a very busy, thriving Science Department. This is a full-time position, however, part-time may be considered for someone with the right skill set.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 08.30 – 16.30, term-time. The role would include:

• Maintaining the department on a day-to-day basis. To ensure that the department is safe, secure, and ready for use throughout its opening times, delivering an excellent environment for teaching and learning for our students and staff.
• Be expected to use initiative, proactively identifying issues requiring attention rather than awaiting requests/instructions.
• Have flexibility to adapt to changing department priorities and fully support the teachers in the department.
• Be prepared to develop new skills and working methods in order to effectively respond to changing department’s needs.
• Have excellent attention to detail and high standards.
