Job summary

Woldgate School and Sixth Form College in York is seeking a highly organised Science Technician to support a vibrant science curriculum. You will work closely with the Head of Science and teaching staff to prepare, maintain and organise equipment and resources for practical lessons.

You will also manage stock records, ensure laboratories are safe and well-equipped, and provide technical support to staff and students during activities.

Working closely with the Head of Science and teaching staff, the postholder will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the science laboratories. This includes preparing, maintaining and organising equipment, materials and resources to support practical teaching and learning across the department.

The role involves coordinating the preparation of resources for lessons, maintaining laboratory equipment, managing stock and inventory records, and ensuring that laboratories are safe, well-organised and fully equipped.
