Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a Science Supply Teacher to cover day-to-day science teaching in Okehampton without planning or marking duties. The role runs 08:30–15:30, Monday to Friday, offering full flexibility to choose days each week and a competitive daily rate.

Qualifications

• QTS: Qualified Teacher Status.
• Strong background in Secondary Science (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics).
• Adaptable classroom approach with strong behaviour management.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned Science and general subject lessons effectively.
• Maintain a positive, productive environment in line with school behaviour policies.
• Support student progress and manage classroom dynamics during teacher absences.
• Leave detailed handover notes for returning class teachers.
