Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a Science Supply Teacher to deliver day-to-day Science lessons in Okehampton, without planning or marking responsibilities. Work hours are 08:30–15:30, Monday to Friday, with full flexibility to choose your days.

You will deliver science cover and general subjects, maintain a positive classroom environment, and leave handover notes for the returning teacher. Competitive daily rate offered.

Qualifications

• QTS required.
• Strong background in Secondary Science (Biology, Chemistry or Physics).
• Adaptable classroom approach with strong behaviour management.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to apply for one.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned Science and general subject lessons effectively.
• Maintain a positive, productive environment in line with school behaviour policies.
• Support student progress and manage classroom dynamics during teacher absences.
• Leave detailed handover notes for returning class teachers.
