Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a Science Supply Teacher to cover day-to-day science lessons in a secondary school in Okehampton. This role focuses on delivering pre-provided work with no planning or marking duties and no late-night prep.

You will work on a flexible, part-time-ish schedule, with 08:30–15:30 hours, Monday to Friday. A strong science background and QTS are required, along with an Enhanced DBS. Opportunity for ongoing supply work.

Qualifications

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) required.
• Secondary Science specialization (Biology, Chemistry or Physics) required.
• Adaptable classroom approach with strong behaviour management.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service (or willing to apply).

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned Science and general subject lessons effectively.
• Maintain a positive, productive environment in line with school behaviour policies.
• Support student progress and manage classroom dynamics during absences.
• Leave detailed handover notes for returning teachers.
