Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a Science Supply Teacher to cover day-to-day science lessons in Okehampton, offering the flexibility to choose working days with no planning or marking responsibilities.

You will deliver provided work from 08:30 to 15:30, maintain classroom order, and support student progress across science and general subjects, leaving clear handover notes for the incoming teacher.

Qualifications

• QTS: Qualified Teacher Status.
• Subject Focus: Strong background in Secondary Science (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics).
• Skills: Adaptable classroom approach with strong behaviour management.
• DBS: Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned Science and general subject lessons effectively.
• Maintain a positive, productive environment in line with school behaviour policies.
• Support student progress and manage classroom dynamics during teacher absences.
• Leave detailed handover notes for returning class teachers.
