Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to work in the Alternative Provision (AP) department of a well-established Secondary School in Warrington. You will teach Science to small classes of around 8 students, building positive relationships and supporting pupil progress and engagement.

The role starts ASAP and runs until Christmas 2026, with potential extension or progression to permanent or temp-to-perm.

Qualifications

• QTS/QLTS/PGCE/PGDE or equivalent qualification.
• Experience with pupils displaying challenging behaviour or SEMH/AP settings would be advantageous.
• Up-to-date safeguarding training (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Teach Science to KS3/KS4 in an Alternative Provision setting.
• Deliver science lessons to small classes (~8 students) and build positive pupil relationships.
• Maintain high behaviour standards and safeguarding compliance.
