Job summary

Monarch Education is seeking an enthusiastic Unqualified Science Teacher to join a specialist Alternative Provision in Nottingham from September 2026. This role is ideal for a Science graduate looking to gain classroom experience whilst working towards a teaching qualification.

You will deliver engaging Science lessons to students with SEMH needs, ASC, and behavioural challenges, plan learning activities, and support inclusive teaching.

Qualifications

• Degree in a science-related subject.
• Strong desire to pursue teacher training.
• Experience working with young people or in similar settings.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3/KS4 under guidance.
• Support students with varied learning, behavioural and emotional needs.
• Plan and adapt learning activities to meet individual needs.
• Create an inclusive learning environment to promote engagement.
• Build relationships with students to encourage attendance and progress.
• Monitor, assess and record student progress and attainment.
• Follow safeguarding policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and parents/carers.
