Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Science Teacher / Cover Supervisor for a secondary school in Bury, starting September. You will deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3/KS4 and provide cover as needed, supporting student progression and behavior management.

Qualifications

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Science in a secondary school.
• Strong knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics.
• Confident managing classrooms and engaging learners.
• Flexible and adaptable to wider school needs.
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
• Passionate about inspiring the next generation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Plan, assess, and monitor student progress
• Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement
• Provide general classroom cover when required
• Deliver pre-set work across other subjects during teacher absences
• Support students in developing their scientific knowledge and practical skills
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote positive outcomes for students
