Job summary

TeacherActive is supporting a nurturing, small secondary school in Trafford to appoint a Science Teacher from October on a long-term basis.

You will teach across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, plan and deliver engaging lessons, assess pupil progress and maintain high standards of behaviour and learning in the classroom.

Applicants should hold QTS with a Science specialism, have strong curriculum knowledge and excellent classroom management and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher status (QTS) with a Science specialism.
• Experience teaching Science across KS3 and KS4.
• Strong knowledge of the Science curriculum.
• Excellent classroom management and behaviour standards.
• Good communication and organisational skills.

Salary: £150 - £270 per day

The school provides a supportive environment for pupils and staff, with a strong focus on helping students develop academically and reach their full potential.

The school is looking to take on a Science Teacher from October on a long-term basis, teaching students across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4. The successful Science Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing pupil progress and maintaining high standards of behaviour and learning within the classroom.

The successful Science Teacher will have:

• QTS with a Science specialism (ECTs are also welcome to apply)
• Experience teaching Science across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4
• Sound knowledge of the Science curriculum
• Excellent classroom management
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A positive and nurturing approach to teaching and learning
