Job summary

Empowering Learning are recruiting a qualified Science Teacher for a Bolton secondary school, starting September 2026. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:15am-3:00pm, with a contract until Christmas and potential extension or permanent opportunities.

You will teach Science to KS3 and KS4, deliver engaging lessons, foster a positive learning environment, and contribute to assessment and progression of pupils. QTS is required, and an Enhanced DBS with Update Service is preferred.

Pay: £160- £225 per day (dependent on experience)

Empowering Learning are working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school in Bolton to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated QTS Science Teacher for a full-time position starting in September.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive Science department from September through to Christmas, with the possibility of an extension and the chance to become permanent for the right candidate.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring Science lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, creating a positive learning environment where all pupils are encouraged to achieve their full potential.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching Science across KS3 and KS4.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• A genuine passion for Science and inspiring young people.
• The ability to plan, deliver and assess high-quality lessons.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to engage and motivate students through effective and practical teaching.

Requirements:

• An Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Two professional references covering your recent employment.
• The right to work in the UK.

• Competitive daily pay of £172.98 to £200 per day, depending on experience.
