Job summary

Empowering Learning are working with a welcoming secondary school in Bolton to recruit an enthusiastic QTS Science Teacher for a full-time position starting in September 2026. You will deliver engaging science lessons to students across KS3 and KS4, fostering a positive environment where every pupil can achieve their potential.

The role runs from September to Christmas with potential extension and possible permanency for the right candidate; Enhanced DBS and right to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• QTS required and relevant science teaching experience across KS3/KS4.
• Experience delivering engaging science lessons and maintaining high standards of classroom management.
• Proven ability to plan, deliver and assess high-quality lessons and to motivate students.

Science Teacher
Location: Bolton
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-Time Monday to Friday 8:15am - 3:00pm
Duration: September 2026 to Christmas 2026 Potential Extension / Permanent Opportunity
Pay: 160- 225 per day (dependent on experience)

Empowering Learning are working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school in Bolton to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated QTS Science Teacher for a full-time position starting in September.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive Science department from September through to Christmas, with the possibility of an extension and the chance to become permanent for the right candidate.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring Science lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, creating a positive learning environment where all pupils are encouraged to achieve their full potential.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching Science across KS3 and KS4.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• A genuine passion for Science and inspiring young people.
• The ability to plan, deliver and assess high-quality lessons.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to engage and motivate students through effective and practical teaching.

Requirements:

• An Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Two professional references covering your recent employment.
• The right to work in the UK.

• Competitive daily pay of 172.98 to 200 per day, depending on experience.
