Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking experienced Science Supply Teachers to work across Salisbury and surrounding towns, offering day-to-day absence cover, pre-booked supply, and longer-term departmental support. You will engage KS3/KS4 students, adapt to different school environments, and deliver theory and safe practical work.

With QTS in Science and strong classroom management, you will join a responsive local team and enjoy flexible scheduling, competitive PAYE pay, and a chance to build a trusted pool

Qualifications

Are you a confident Science Supply Teacher looking for flexible work across a range of Secondary Schools?

Can you effectively manage classrooms, engage students and ensure learning continues in the absence of the regular teacher?

Would you like the opportunity to gain experience in a variety of school settings while enjoying the flexibility that supply teaching provides?

TeacherActive is strengthening its local secondary supply team and I am looking for Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Combined Science specialists who can support schools across Salisbury, Amesbury, Durrington, Tidworth, Wilton, Downton, Stonehenge and the wider South Wiltshire area.

I am keen to build a core team of reliable Science teachers whom I can get to know properly and introduce to schools repeatedly, rather than simply matching people to isolated vacancies. Work can include day-to-day absence cover, pre-booked supply, short-term departmental support and longer-term subject assignments.

If you are an experienced classroom practitioner who can make scientific concepts accessible, maintain a purposeful classroom and confidently pick up another teacher's planning when required, this could be an excellent way to gain flexibility without stepping away from teaching.

The successful candidate will have:

• QTS with a Science specialism – Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Combined Science
