Job summary

Smile Education is recruiting a passionate Science Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in the Walsall area. The role focuses on delivering clear, engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 and planning high-quality sessions tailored to a range of abilities.

You will monitor progress, provide constructive feedback and help students develop confidence and enthusiasm for Science in a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Smile Education are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and committed Science Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in the Walsall area.

The Role:

  • Monitor student progress and provide clear, constructive and effective feedback.
  • Encourage students to develop their scientific knowledge, confidence and enthusiasm for the subject.
  • Adapt teaching approaches and resources to support individual learning needs.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Science department.
  • Contribute positively to the wider life of the school and support the school's values and expectations.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an appropriate teaching qualification.
  • Previous experience teaching Science within a UK secondary school.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Science education.
  • Effective classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • A confident and engaging teaching style with the ability to inspire students of varying abilities.
  • The ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • A commitment to supporting students' academic progress and personal development.
  • A reliable, flexible and professional approach to teaching.
