Job summary

Smile Education are recruiting a passionate Science Teacher to join a successful secondary school in the Wolverhampton area. The role offers the chance to inspire students and contribute to a strong science community.

The school emphasises inclusive practice and supports teachers with planning time and ongoing training. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of GCSE Biology, Chemistry or Physics.

Qualifications

  • Experience teaching Science within UK secondary school classrooms.
  • Strong knowledge of the Science curriculum.
  • Ability to teach GCSE Science and familiarity with relevant examination boards.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering high-quality, engaging and purposeful Science lessons.
  • Teaching Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential GCSE output in Biology, Chemistry or Physics.
  • Creating an inclusive and stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
  • Differentiating and adapting lessons to meet the needs of pupils with SEND and other additional needs.
  • Assessing, marking and providing constructive feedback to support student progress.
  • Collaborating within the Science department to contribute to department success.
  • Maintaining high expectations for learning, behaviour and student achievement.

Smile Education are currently recruiting for a passionate and committed Science Teacher to join a successful secondary school in the Wolverhampton area. The school is looking for a teacher who can build positive relationships with students and create a classroom environment where pupils feel confident to participate, explore new ideas and develop a genuine interest in Science. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Working collaboratively within the Science department and contributing to the continued success of the faculty.
  • Maintaining high expectations for learning, behaviour and student achievement.
  • Supporting the wider development of students through positive relationships and effective classroom management.
The School Are Looking For
  • Science ECTs or fully qualified Science Teachers.
  • Experience teaching Science within UK secondary school classrooms.
  • Strong knowledge of the Science curriculum.
  • Experience teaching GCSE Science and familiarity with relevant examination boards.
  • A confident, professional and engaging classroom presence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to inspire curiosity and enthusiasm for Science.
  • Flexibility, reliability and a genuine passion for supporting student progress.
  • A commitment to creating a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
