Job summary

Alperton Community School invites applications for a Science Technician to support two sites with the delivery of practical science activities and lab maintenance. You will manage equipment, resources, and health & safety procedures to ensure smooth science lessons.

The role involves assisting across the three sciences up to A-level, with a focus on lab safety, stock control, and timely setup for practicals. A permanent position with London weighting is offered.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at minimum grade C or equivalent.
• Relevant laboratory or scientific higher qualification is required or strongly preferred.
• Strong IT skills with MS Office (Excel/Word) and ability to learn new software quickly.

Responsibilities

• Provi de day-to-day provision of practical equipment and resources for Science lessons, ensuring health and safety procedures are followed.
• Ensure effective operation and maintenance of Science laboratories used for lessons across two sites.
• Support the Science faculty to deliver A-Level science teaching and practicals while maintaining safety and stock levels.
