Job summary

Huish Episcopi Academy is seeking a organised Science Technician to join the Science department on a part-time basis. The role involves preparing and maintaining equipment and materials for practical lessons, keeping laboratories safe and well organised, and supporting day-to-day department operations.

You will have GCSEs in English, Maths and Science and strong organisational skills with attention to detail. DBS checks apply; experience is advantageous but not essential.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in English, Maths and Science (Grade 4/C or above).
• Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to build positive working relationships with staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain equipment, materials and resources for practical activities.
• Ensure laboratories and preparation areas are safe and well organised.
• Support the day-to-day operation of the Science department.
• Work closely with teaching staff to support high-quality practical lessons.
