Protocol Education is recruiting a Science Technician for a Bradford secondary school for the full academic year starting October 2026. The role involves preparing materials, supporting practical experiments, and helping maintain safe laboratories.

Candidates with a science background or previous Science Technician experience are welcome; strong organisation, attention to detail, and teamwork are essential. The contract is full-time, 1-year fixed term, with a pay rate of £100-£120 per day.

Responsibilities

• Preparing materials, equipment, and resources for Science lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
• Supporting teachers and students during practical experiments and investigations.
• Maintaining laboratories, equipment, and preparation areas.
• Managing stock levels and ordering scientific equipment and consumables when required.
• Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed within the department.
• Preparing solutions, setting up practical activities, and safely disposing of chemicals and materials.
• Assisting with science enrichment activities, STEM events, and school projects.
