Salary: 100- 110 per day
Contract: Full-time, Term-Time Only

Veritas are looking for a bright and enthusiastic Science Graduate to join a forward-thinking secondary school in Hackney as a Teaching Assistant. You'll work closely with students aged 11-16, supporting them in science lessons and across the curriculum. This is a fantastic first step for graduates who are serious about progressing into teacher training or are considering working within education.
Assisting teachers in delivering engaging science lessons
Supporting students 1:1 or in small groups with classwork, homework, and revision
Helping to manage behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
Offering targeted support to students who may need extra help grasping key scientific concepts
Contributing to wider school life, including extracurricular activities and enrichment
A degree in a science subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or related field)
A genuine interest in working with young people and in education
Some experience with secondary-aged pupils - e.g., through tutoring, mentoring, summer schools, or previous TA work
A confident communicator with good organisational skills
A proactive, positive, and reliable approach
