Job description

Science Graduate Teaching Assistant, Camden, London

Prospero Teaching is seeking Science graduates with a strong interest in education to join a secondary school in Camden. The ideal candidate will have excelled in Science at GCSE and A-level, and hold a degree in a Science-related field.

This role offers an opportunity to work as a teaching assistant in a secondary school environment, supporting students aged 11-16, with potential future training to become a teacher.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Supporting class teachers and students during lessons
  2. Building rapport with students with specific needs and implementing strategies to support their learning
  3. Providing 1:1 Science tuition sessions
  4. Running intervention groups to enhance subject knowledge

You will receive training, guidance, and support from experienced consultants and the school's staff, including free CPD sessions on topics like behaviour management and group work.

The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8 am until the end of the school day, with some after-school commitments. The position pays £525 per week and has the potential to become permanent.
