Manchester City Council is seeking a reliable Passenger Assistant to support children and young people on their journey to and from education. You will safeguard passengers, help them board and alight, and respond to incidents to maintain safety and wellbeing.

You'll work term-time, with a 16-hour week spread across mornings and afternoons, and may be asked to adjust routes. Applicants must have right to work in the UK and demonstrate strong communication and calmness under pressure.

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting safety, wellbeing and welfare of children or vulnerable people.
• Ability to communicate effectively with passengers, parents, drivers and colleagues.
• Ability to follow procedures and respond to incidents as part of a team.

Responsabilités

• Safeguard and supervise passengers during journeys.
• Assist passengers to board, travel and alight safely.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies to maintain safety and wellbeing.
• Collaborate with drivers, parents/carers and the Home to School Transport Team.
• Support delivery of home to school transport services for children and young people.
