Job summary

Worcestershire County Council invites applications for a ChS Passenger Assistant at Warndon Depot, Worcester. You will join the TSU Operations team and help transport passengers to schools and day centres, demonstrating kindness, reliability and strong communication.

The role requires assisting passengers on and off vehicles, sometimes with a lift, and supporting passengers with varying care needs. A DBS check is required, and the post offers a local government pension and development

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate clearly with passengers and colleagues.
• Willingness to work as part of a team and follow directions.
• Ability to undertake moderate physical activity and assist passengers as needed.

Responsibilities

• Transport passengers to schools and day centres as part of a team.
• Assist with moving passengers and help them on and off the vehicle using step or lift.
• Ensure passenger comfort and safety, respecting individual care needs.
• Travel on a vehicle on split shifts (morning and afternoon) to destinations.
• DBS disclosure check required before appointment.
