Job summary

Teem Recruitment LTD is seeking a dependable School Caretaker / Site Manager to support the day-to-day operation of a busy school in Openshaw. The role focuses on safety, security, cleanliness and a welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors.

You will be practical, organised and able to work independently, while contributing as part of the school team and maintaining high standards across the site, ensuring premises remain fully operational and compliant.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities or school caretaking.
• Ability to manage maintenance, safety and compliance records.
• Practical, proactive, and able to work independently, while contributing to the team.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily upkeep, maintenance and security of the school site, including opening up.
• Maintain accurate records relating to maintenance, compliance, health and safety, and PPM checks.
• Carry out minor repairs and general maintenance duties.
• Undertake basic DIY tasks; painting and decorating experience is a plus.
• Ensure premises remain clean, safe and fully operational.
• Liaise with contractors and oversee works on site.
• Assist with setting up rooms and site logistics for events.
