• Ensure premises remain clean, safe and fully operational.
• Liaise with contractors and oversee works on site.
• Assist with setting up rooms and site logistics for events.

This is a key role within the school, helping to maintain a safe, secure, clean and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors.

The successful candidate will be practical, organised and able to work independently, while also contributing positively as part of the wider school team. You will take pride in maintaining high standards across the site and ensuring that the school premises remain safe, secure and fully operational.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the daily upkeep, maintenance and security of the school site, including opening up the school.
• Maintain accurate records relating to maintenance, compliance, health and safety, and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) checks.
• Carry out minor repairs and general maintenance duties.
• Undertake basic DIY tasks; experience in painting and decorating would be advantageous.
• Ensure the school premises remain clean, safe and fully operational.
• Liaise with contractors and oversee works carried out on site.
• Assist with setting up rooms and supporting site logistics for school events and activities.
• Support the school's compliance procedures, including asbestos awareness and site safety monitoring.
• Identify and report any maintenance, health and safety, or security issues promptly.
• Help ensure the school site is maintained to a high standard at all times.
• Respond proactively to any issues that may affect the safety, security or smooth operation of the school.
