Job summary

The Netherhall School in Cambridge is seeking a Site Officer to support daily site team operations across our campuses. You will work with the Head of Operations to open/close buildings, manage alarms, locks, gates and evening use, and respond to alarm activations.

The role requires reliable, proactive team players with good communication skills who take pride in maintaining a safe, secure and well‑run school environment and providing practical support to teaching and support staff.

Qualifications

• Relevant practical skills and experience in site maintenance.
• Reliable and proactive with good communication.
• Ability to work across multiple school sites and teams.

Responsibilities

• liaise with Head of Operations to undertake daily tasks as required
• open/close schools, turn off and set alarms, unlock/lock buildings, gates and doors including evening use
• respond to activations of the school alarm and liaise with police and alarm company
• ensure site work maximises security with cost‑effective maintenance and energy management
• support the delivery of daily site team operations across campuses
• maintain a reliable presence, communicate effectively with teachers and support staff
