Job summary

North Cambridge Academy is seeking a Site & Lettings Officer to support the busy lettings operation, primarily during evenings and weekends. This hands-on role requires practical maintenance skills and a proactive approach to keep the site safe, secure, and well‑presented for all users.

The ideal candidate will be reliable, motivated, with experience in general maintenance, health & safety, and customer-facing duties, ready to work as part of a supportive school team in Cambridge.

Qualifications

• Evening and weekend availability is essential.
• Trade background is advantageous.
• Grounds maintenance is desirable.
• Experience with external contractors is beneficial.
• Comfortable using IT systems and online maintenance tools.
• Commitment to safeguarding and health & safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Ensure premises are clean, safe, and well-maintained at all times.
• Open, close, and prepare site for community lettings, ensuring sports facilities are ready.
• Respond to maintenance requests via the compliance platform Iamcompliant.
• Carry out minor repairs and general maintenance to building, furniture, and equipment.
• Operate the Building Management System (BMS) to monitor heating and systems.
• Support evening/weekend receptions and on-call duties.
