Job summary

Coventry City Council is seeking a Part-Time Site Services Officer for Sowe Valley Primary School. The role focuses on caretaking, maintenance and cleaning to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors.

Under the Headteacher and School Business Manager, you will perform security tasks, minor repairs and site upkeep while supporting health and safety procedures and managing equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience in caretaking, maintenance and cleaning is desirable.
• Willingness to take annual leave during school holidays.
• Must pass safeguarding checks (DBS) and pre-employment clearances.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the security and safety of the school premises
• Opening and closing the school site
• Acting as a key holder for the school
• Carrying out routine maintenance, cleaning and caretaking duties
• Undertaking minor repairs and general site upkeep
• Supporting the school's health and safety procedures
• Managing and maintaining school resources and equipment
• Providing practical support to the wider school community as required
