Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is seeking a School Receptionist for an SEN provision in Ealing. You will be the first point of contact for visitors, parents and staff, ensuring smooth daily school office operations while supporting an inclusive environment for SEND students.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm. The role involves handling calls, managing records, supporting safeguarding, and coordinating meetings and events.

Qualifications

  • Experience in receptionist/administrative roles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic IT systems.
  • Understanding of safeguarding procedures (training can be provided).
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, staff and external professionals.
  • Manage incoming phone calls, emails and general enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate student records, attendance logs and administrative systems.
  • Support safeguarding procedures, including visitor sign-in and site security protocols.
  • Assist with day-to-day school administration tasks such as filing, data entry and correspondence.
  • Liaise with teaching staff, SENCOs, and leadership teams to support school operations.
  • Support communication between home and school, ensuring information is shared clearly.
  • Help organise meetings, appointments and school events when required.
  • Maintain a calm, welcoming and professional reception area at all times.

  • Familiarity with school management systems (e.g., SIMS or Arbor).
  • Understanding of SEND environments and inclusive education settings.
