Job summary

Catch 22 is seeking an experienced School Premises Manager for Sir William Burrough Primary School in Limehouse, London. You will take day-to-day responsibility for the site, grounds and facilities, coordinating maintenance and contractors and ensuring safety and compliance.

This urgent role starts ASAP on a 3-month contract with potential to become permanent. 6:30am-2:30pm, Monday to Friday, you will open/close the site, oversee cleaning staff, manage records, and respond quickly to urgent

Qualifications

Enhanced DBS for the child workforce, or willingness to obtain one immediately.
Strong knowledge of health and safety and facilities compliance.
Experience managing contractors and planned and reactive maintenance.
Ability to manage cleaning/site staff.
Hands-on, organised and independent worker.

Responsibilities

Take day-to-day responsibility for the school premises, grounds and facilities.
Manage planned and reactive maintenance, coordinating contractors as required.
Ensure statutory compliance across health and safety, fire safety, legionella, asbestos, PAT and other premises-related requirements.
Maintain accurate compliance, maintenance and contractor records.
Manage site security, including opening the school and locking up.
Oversee and support cleaning and site staff to maintain high standards throughout the building.
Carry out routine inspections, minor repairs and practical maintenance where appropriate.
Respond promptly and calmly to urgent site issues, changing priorities and operational requirements.
