Job summary

Malcolm Arnold Academy is seeking a Site Manager to oversee the premises across Primary and Secondary sites, ensuring a safe, clean and regulatory-compliant learning environment. You will lead the Premises Team, manage contractors, conduct health and safety checks and drive planned works during school holidays.

The role is permanent, 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, with NJC27 pay (£39,481.26 per annum) and access to the Local Government Pension Scheme.

Qualifications

• Experience in a facilities role within an educational setting.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation and compliance.
• Ability to manage a Premises team and oversee contractors.
• Competent IT skills including Microsoft Office and asset management systems.
• Strong planning, prioritisation and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular health, safety, and risk assessments of buildings and grounds.
• Oversee contractor control, monitoring quality and value for money.
• Update and monitor online H&S management and CAFM systems.
• Direct the premises team and support repairs and maintenance projects.
• Plan works for school holidays in coordination with Estates teams.
• Conduct site inspections and audits; manage facilities contracts.
