Job summary

St Edward's Catholic Academy is seeking a proactive Premises Officer to help maintain safe, welcoming school environments. You will join the Estates Team, performing caretaking, security, health and safety tasks, and facilities management to support pupils and staff daily.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance, safety checks, supervising contractors, and improving energy efficiency. You will work across buildings and grounds, collaborating with colleagues to adapt to changing priorities

Qualifications

• Previous experience in facilities or estate management is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and hands-on repair abilities.
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine maintenance and repairs across school buildings and grounds.
• Support health and safety checks and maintain records.
• Assist with contractor supervision and site documentation.
• Monitor security procedures and access control.
• Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the Trust to cover varied tasks.
