Job summary

Abbey Road Primary School is seeking a friendly and energetic Site Manager to oversee the maintenance, security, cleaning and safety of our school premises. The role involves coordinating contractors, monitoring CCTV and alarm systems, and ensuring a safe environment for pupils and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in school/site maintenance is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to liaise with on-site contractors to coordinate repairs.
• Commitment to safeguarding, health and safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the appearance and functionality of the school premises, including buildings and grounds.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
• Coordinate contractors, suppliers and service providers for repairs and refurbishments as required.
• Implement health and safety policies and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Conduct risk assessments and minimise hazards for students and staff.
• Oversee security measures to protect premises and assets; monitor CCTV and alarms.
• Manage access control systems and keep a secure key register.
• Support cleaning staff to maintain high cleanliness standards.
• Set up and breakdown facilities for school events and activities.
