The Bolton 0-19/25's Children's Integrated Health and Wellbeing Service is seeking passionate individuals to join our team.

Main duties of the job

As a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse, you will have excellent communication skills and broad knowledge of working with children and their families in the community.

You will support the delivery of universal health services within a 0-19 neighbourhood team, managing caseloads, working collaboratively with agencies, and ensuring the best health outcomes for children and families.

Bolton's SCPHN nurses deliver evidence-based services using diverse assessment and intervention tools, supporting a wider multidisciplinary team.

Job Responsibilities

Lead on The Healthy Child Programme, conducting health reviews, promoting health, screening, and supporting families. Work within a model of progressive universalism, providing additional support for at-risk children and families.

Person Specification

Essential qualifications:

  • UK NMC registration for nursing and SCPHN-SN
  • Evidence of current SCPHN practice
  • Safeguarding and early intervention skills
  • CPD and EBP demonstration
  • Leadership skills

Desirable qualifications:

  • Supporting pre/post registration students
  • Knowledge of current public health issues

Additional requirements:

  • Full understanding of SCPHN role
  • Active caseload management experience
  • Experience with safeguarding concerns
