Job summary

Academics, a leading education recruitment agency, are working with a school in Stone, Staffordshire, to recruit a School Library Technician for an eight-week fixed-term position starting in November.

The role includes issuing and returning books, supporting pupils and staff in the library, operating reprographic equipment, general admin tasks and supervising pupils, with first aid support as part of the wider team.

Qualifications

• Organised, reliable and able to work independently.
• Experience in administrative, supervisory, library or school-based roles.
• Comfortable using IT and reprographic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Issue and return books and maintain library records.
• Support pupils and staff in the library.
• Operate reprographic equipment (printing, laminating, binding).
• Assist with general admin and IT tasks.
• Supervise pupils and promote a positive environment.
• Provide emergency first aid support to pupils.
