Job summary

Christ the King in Arnold, Nottingham, is a Catholic school within the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Multi-Academy Trust seeking a diligent library assistant. You will help maintain a welcoming library, issue resources, and support students both pastorally and academically.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five GCSEs including English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above).
• Higher level academic qualifications will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a welcoming and organised library with displays and signs.
• Issue and discharge resources using the library computer system.
• Understand general library practices and site-specific procedures.
• Respond to requests in person, by phone, or email to help locate information.
• Work closely with students to build positive relationships and support engagement in school life.
• Be caring and supportive, with an understanding of issues facing young people.
