Job summary

Chartwells is recruiting a Chef on a part-time basis (30 hours/week) contracted to 43.6 weeks per year to create exceptional food experiences for clients and customers. You will prepare high-quality meals, oversee menu changes, and drive improvements while upholding hygiene and brand standards.

The role requires City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent and a Food Hygiene certificate, plus experience supervising a team and a flexible approach to working in education catering.

• Experience supervising a kitchen team and delivering quality food.
• Hold City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent and a Food Hygiene certificate.
• Flexible approach to working hours and duties within a school catering environment.

Responsibilities

• Preparing delicious, high-quality food for clients and customers.
• Overseeing and implementing menu changes.
• Identifying opportunities to improve food services and listening to feedback.
• Supporting creation of new menus and creative concepts while maintaining hygiene standards.
• Representing Chartwells and maintaining a positive brand image.
