Job summary

Thomas Franks is recruiting a Kitchen Porter for our Somerset campus in Street. You will help keep the kitchen hygienic, safe and clean, supporting chefs and maintaining equipment across a 43-week contract that runs seven days a week for our boarding school operation.

The role requires good English skills, a team-focused mindset and the ability to work in a busy, residential catering environment with weekend activity. Free meals on duty and pension benefits exist.

Qualifications

• Experience of pot wash duties is an advantage.
• Good team player with ability to assist chefs.
• Ability to understand and use verbal English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen hygiene and safety to high standards.
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and heavy catering equipment.
• Operate industrial dishwasher and assist chefs with prep as needed.
