Job summary

Thomas Franks is seeking a Kitchen Porter to join our busy school kitchen in Maidenhead. This full-time, term-time plus contract offers 37.5 hours per week and a salary of £20,018.25 per year, with on-site parking.

You will help keep the kitchen hygienic to high standards, support the chefs with prep, and ensure equipment is clean and well maintained. A friendly team, opportunities for training, and a strong focus on safety are part of life at Thomas Franks.

Qualifications

• Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage.
• Great team player.
• Be able to help the Chefs with some food prep.
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness at all times.
• Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment.
• Clean allocated pieces of heavy catering equipment using instructions and cleaning materials including air filter and extraction systems.
• Operate industrial dishwasher.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety in the kitchen.
• Assist chefs with food preparation on busy service days.
• Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment and work areas.
• Operate the industrial dishwasher and manage waste and sanitation.
• Assist with pot wash duties and keep the area tidy.
