Job summary

Caterlink is hiring a Chef Manager for St Josephs Catholic Primary in Hertford. The role operates term-time only (38 weeks/year) with no weekends, working 27.5 hours per week at £16.50 per hour.

The Chef Manager will prepare and present meals, lead day-to-day site operations, supervise staff, manage inventories and budgets, and be the primary contact for the school client. DBS disclosure is required.

Qualifications

• To prepare, cook and present food to the standards required by Caterlink and the client.
• To ensure Health and Safety, Food Safety and environmental legislations and procedures are met.
• To be responsible for the day-to-day running of the location and supervising teams including managing inventories, monitoring budgets, and implementing action plans.
• To be the main point of contact for our client in your school ensuring that regular adjustments and improvements are both recommended and implemented.
• Communicating regularly with your line manager to monitor KPIs and financial targets to ensure these are achieved.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present food to Caterlink and client standards.
• Ensure location complies with Health and Safety, Food Safety and environmental regulations.
• Manage day-to-day operations, supervise staff, monitor budgets and implement plans.
• Act as main client contact in the school and drive improvements.
• Report progress on KPIs and financial targets to line management.
