Job summary

The Big Fresh Catering Company is seeking an enthusiastic Kitchen Manager to lead the daily running of the school kitchen at All Saints C/W Primary in Barry. You will supervise staff, plan and organise the kitchen, and ensure high-quality meals for around 100–110 daily servings during term time, five days a week at 25 hours.

Applicants should have at least two years' practical cooking experience in busy catering, be committed to delivering a quality service, and hold the ability to work

Qualifications

• Two years' practical cooking experience in a busy catering environment (within last 3 years).
• Experience in supervising staff to meet service objectives.
• Ability to plan and organise the kitchen to its full potential.
• Ability to use own initiative in day-to-day running.

Responsibilities

• Daily running of the kitchen in a large-scale catering operation.
• Overseeing approximately 100-110 meals per day.
• Ensure service objectives are met and quality standards maintained.
